We the executive and members of Cupe Local 5170 wish to acknowledge that the land on which we are gathered/working is the traditional unceded territory of the Algonquin Anishinaabeg People.
The Algonquin People have inhabited and cared for these lands since time immemorial.
We honor and take this time to express our gratitude and respect to them and their enduring presence and their deep connection to this place, now known as the Ottawa Valley.
